High school sailing is an excellent opportunity for teenage sailors to engage in the sport beyond their local yacht club or junior sailing program. For the past few years, the Midwest and Michigan in particular has been the fastest growing region in the nation for high school sailing!
While the WMYSA does not play a direct role in high school sailing, our member programs encourage and, in some cases, directly support high school sailing teams.
High school sailing teams in Michigan compete as part of MISSA, the Midwest Interscholastic Sailing Association. For more information about high school sailing in the Midwest, click the following link: MISSA Sailing
